Arabian Ranches is home to over 30 outdoor kids’ play areas, each of which features a number of exciting play equipment for junior residents. Climbing frames with slides and poles, rope bridges, spring rockers, swings, and numerous other equipment are surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens. The rubberised anti-slip flooring ensures adequate grip while helping cushion the impact of any falls.
The play areas are shaded and also feature benches, allowing parents and supervising guardians to relax and keep an eye on their children. The play areas are open to all residents from any part of the community, with cycle stands installed outside several of them.
The kids’ play areas are open from 7 AM to 10 PM.
Located between Saheel 1 and 2, The Oasis features a wide variety of fruit plants including papaya, fig, mango, orange, lemon and banana, in addition to herbs such as mint and aloe vera. A water-feature, drinking water fountain and yoga/kids’ play area complete the space to make it the perfect place to take a break and relax while cycling or strolling through the community.
All communities in Arabian Ranches have their own swimming pools as well as a special shaded children’s paddling pool. The facilities are enclosed and supervised by a full-time lifeguard from 7 AM through to 10 PM, every day.
Each pool is set within a paved terrace, lined with sun loungers and parasols to provide shade. There are showers and changing rooms for residents too. There’s even a special pool at Saheel 1 and Palmera 3, fitted with a chair lift for people of determination.
Residents may also appoint their own personal trainers (certified by Dubai Sports Council) to coach them at the community pool. For this, trainers are required to obtain their gate pass from the security gatehouse by submitting the necessary documents in order to gain access to the community.
Arabian Ranches boasts its very own Smart Police Station (SPS), located next to the retail centre near Alma 1. The fully automated walk-in police station was among the first of its kind in the city – it’s solar-powered, offers 25 services in 6 different languages, and equipped to serve people of determination.
Individuals can file criminal complaints conveniently and simply by heading to the SPS and report the matter within a few minutes with the aid of the latest and smartest policing solutions.
Located near the Al Reem 2 community gatehouse, the skate park offers a selection of custom-built ramps for skateboarders and BMX enthusiasts. The ramps are surfaced with a special coating that offers fantastic grip, whilst various rails give multiple opportunities to ‘grind’ and ‘ollie’.
Floodlights mean the action can go on well into the night and several benches provide a great spot from which to watch. There’s even an overhead canopy that shields skaters from the sun on hotter afternoons.
The skate park is open from 7 AM to 10 PM.
Raffles Nursery, conveniently located in the Saheel community, welcomes all children and toddlers to begin their pre-school education from the age of two until the age of four. Following the Early Years Foundation Stage Programme, teachers undergo regular in-service training to ensure the most up to date teaching methods are used.
